Dear Huntington Community Members:
We are so grateful for the support we received in February, when we came together as a community to celebrate and raise funds for Townwide at our Snow Ball gala. Just a few weeks later, we find ourselves in a situation where our community needs us more than ever. Current circumstances are unprecedented and the community’s need for support will be great, now and in the months ahead.
We want to assure the Huntington community that the Townwide Fund stands ready to help our member agencies as we have been for nearly 60 years.
The Townwide Fund relies on the generosity of the Huntington Community to fulfill our mission. While we know these are going to be economically challenging times, we ask you to remember that there will be many local families who are in immediate need of food, clothing and shelter due to job losses or illness.
If you are able to give even a small donation, it will help us help our neighbors in dire need.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our first responders, doctors, nurses and all those on the front lines of this healthcare crisis. Please know that the Townwide Fund is eternally grateful for the heroic sacrifices you make to keep Huntington safe and healthy.
We’d also like to thank all of the selfless volunteers who are ensuring that food and medicine get to those who need it most, and to remind all of the Huntington community to call and check on your elderly neighbors to make sure they have what they need.
Finally, please support our local businesses. They are the backbone of this community and support us continually with their generosity of products and services. Many of them are generous donors and sponsors for our many events. We couldn’t do what we do without them.
We will all get through this together. Stay safe, healthy and let’s rely on each other as we navigate these difficult times together.
